Thanksgiving Decor & Table Inspiration

November 3, 2019 Madison

Whether you’re ready or not, the season of hosting is upon us! While we’re not big into over the top seasonal decor, we do think it’s so important that your seasonal decor feels like an extension of the spirit and style of your home.

Sometimes it feels hard to wade through the piles of inspiration on Pinterest and find something that feels like you. So, we’ve taken the liberty of putting together a collection of Fall/Thanksgiving looks that we think will fit right into your home.

Let’s dive in:

If you are someone who lives in a warmer climate and can still manage to dine outside for Thanksgiving, we love this fall garden setup. This is a great example of bringing on the fall feeling without feeling tied to pumpkins, dried leaves, or any of the other traditional elements. With this setup, you still get that fall feeling but it’s brought in through the golden yellow, the brass of the candlesticks, and natural toned chargers.

But those for those stuck indoors, we’re feeling inspired to bring back the tablecloth this holiday season. Something about adding layers of textiles to your tablescape or settings really helps to bring in the cozy vibes.

We love these examples of layered styling — layered vessels with dried florals, layered place settings with warm wood tones, and layered linens on the table.

If you’re not big into having extra decor pieces purely for the seasons, you can always bring in the warmer vibes with things you already have around the house, or would want to keep in the cupboard year round. We love these rose-gold stemmed wine glasses and flatware, and of course, the use of a leaf that almost every has hanging around outside, on the plate to really bring in that fall feeling.

and then we’re brought to our favorite and final tip for creating a modern fall look this Thanksgiving:

Dried Florals.

They bring in SO much fun, warmth, texture and style. Here are some amazing examples of dried florals used for the season. If you aren’t familiar with dried florals, or haven’t used them in your decor before our suggestion would be take a visit to your favorite local floral shop.

And, if you’re feeling fancy with your pumpkins, we love the splash of gold leaf on these pumpkins to really bring it up a notch. So, with all of this to think of as you plan your Thanksgiving events, we’d love to know, are you usually a fall/thanksgiving decor person, or giving it a try this year for the first time? OR have you already jumped right into the holiday season?
